I was able to get apex jr setup and connected to wifi network. Still need to work on cord management under the stand. My wife didn't seem impressed when I showed her the fusion app and told her I can monitor the tank from my phone. Seemed like xmas morning to me! I have also added some live rock and started playing around with rockscape. View attachment 12769 View attachment 12770

Hoping to get the apex programmed to control 2 dosing pumps, heater, and refugium light. I have no idea how to operate this thing. @zombie can you help get me going or point me to some tutorials?

BRS did a whole bunch of tutorials. Lots of stuff on you tube as well. What you described is all really easy to do. Fusion has gotten better and better.

Heaters check out my build thread.

Refugium light just use if time statement when you want it on.

Zombie,
Hello, I was looking at your thread and I noticed a power station with multiple switches. Is this a DJ power strip? Where did you get this? I'm looking for something similar. Anyone else can chime in. Thanks.

Thanks guys. I still have work to do and the progress has been SLOW. I'm hoping @zombie's apex demo this weekend will get me motivated and give me some good pointers.

What do you think about trying a clam in this tank? Should I wait until dosing setup is in place? I would like to think parameters are stable, but honestly, I haven't done any water tests on this tank. Only pay attention to SG and temp for now... shame on me! LOL

I would wait on the clam. They use quite a bit of Alk and require reasonable monitoring that nitrate and phosphate are staying low but not zero. They are on par with SPS care wise.

I agree to wait till you start dosing. Although clams dont really care about nitrates and phos, as they like dirty water ime, but they do need stable params, plus CA, and they burn through it fast, especially as they grow
