Seems like I just bricked my controller and now its stuck in Firmware update mode. Its quite annoying and apparently the only way to do the update to it is with a PC?

Does anyone have any experience with these? Its the Older Version Controller.

Thanks y'all

Mac>PC...guess I have an excuse to buy new lights?

Side note, I have a third light that’s missing one of the plastic circles that spreads/directs the lights. I’m guessing they don’t just sell those parts, anyone have one laying around?

Vega lenses are discontinued, but AI still sells the plastic cover if that's what you are referring to. If it's the lens, perhaps try rapidled and see if they have any lenses that are compatible.

PC > Mac, just sayin. My partner is mac only and I get to laugh at him anytime he wants to play a video game or run common programs that everyone else can use. :p

Is three vegas enough for a tank that size?

Yep. Macs are useless without parallels.

Its definitely borderline with only 3 Vegas on a 150. If it were me, I would add two supplemental t5 bulbs into the canopy if you want mean SPS growth comparable to halides.

2/3 VEGAS are working. Got the controller back up, need to hopefully find an LED puck somewhere.

Currently in the market for some T5s and potentially another led if I can’t get this third up and running...

Figured out the VEGAS, meanwhile, picked up a few AI SOLs and a director, unfortunately they did not have the wireless adaptor.

These seem like almost impossible to find - is there any work arounds that anyone knows of?

I would just hardwire it. The wireless adaptors were quite finicky and you can hide the cable pretty easily. These have to be hardwired anyway if you get an apex and want to use that to control the SOLs down the road.

Any idea what kind of data cable it needs?
A 1/8" stereo aux cord. Preferably the kind with 90 degree angles so it's less obtrusive.

Side note, rigo07 just posted 2 Vegas for sale for $150 that would match your other 3 and you could just sell the SOLs.
