Hello,

I've been trying to sell a couple of lenses on craigslist, but I am likely asking too much. Hard to gauge prices on barely used items lol...

Open to offers and partial trades. Let me know what you have! Lenses are in excellent condition. All caps and hoods included as well. I just bought a new R5 which uses RF lenses instead of EF, then gave the old camera to my niece with a couple of lenses. These are left over.

This is a link to my craigslist post.

Fred Miranda or just eBay auction for the common L lenses like these. The more rare ones are easier to get a pretty penny for.

If you want to get top-top dollar, then you will likely need some photos to show how good the glass is and how crisp it is - some 24-105s look better than others, especially in the edges and pros will assume that you are selling these because you found a better copy. It is a cutthroat market. I use 5d every day and actually wear out the bodies and lenses... I don't know how I would ever move away from EF and replace all of the lenses.

...if you already knew all of this, then free bump.

They make an adapter for the lenses which has good reviews so you wouldn't really need to switch lenses. I just chose to avoid the adapter, but man these new RF lenses are expensive! I only have the 24-105 as I bought the kit. My next lens I am getting is the 15-35mm for real estate photography.

I photograph real estate all day. The old 16-35 f2.8 is better than the newer 4.0 with IS. ...the IS lens just cannot deal with the shadows and lower light interiors like the 2.8 can. Either work fine outside when the sun is out or if the rooms are very sunny. I have worn out a few f2.8s (like worn them out to end of life where the USM won't work anymore), got a 4.0 and it was just OK, and now on to a new f2.8. A few of the pros that take photos for the agents use the f2.8 too or some even use a prime and software to put them together to show a wider photo. The RF one looks like a copy of the 16-35 2.8 EF one with a different mount, so it will probably be good. It is expensive... you are right about that.

FWIW, I will not switch until stuff has been out for at least 5-6 years and proven that it is reliable. Reviews and looking good on paper mean nothing to me - I want to see them being loved years down the road from people who use them everyday. I depend on this stuff to make a living, so until I see 5+ year old bodies performing and acting like a my 5Ds have done, then I will let other people work out the bugs and stuff. New stuff is rarely an upgrade, I have found... same for cars and upgrading OS on my iMac (wait a for a few patches before you upgrade). I have a 5d mII with 200k shutters on it and it works great that I have as a backup, but I phase them out when I cannot see the paint on the body and buttons anymore - hope the RF can get there too.

Nice, are you a realtor then? I am looking to get into appraising at the moment, just had to go back and finish my degree which will be done this year finally.

I am an appraiser. Independent. I wish that I would have become a realtor instead.
Very cool. I did go through the whole process of becoming a realtor, but appraisal just seems more interesting. Plus my personality is better suited to not talk to clients lol. Not a fan of the AMC's?
