Where do you guys buy your livestock from???

Since I started my tank back up Aquatic art is the only place I have and will shop. All my livestock has been from that one location and I have had no fish issues what so ever.

I typically get most of my stuff from Aquatic Art and Keys Island. Nick (Ambrosio Aquatics) is my place to go for cleaning crews. Definitely other great places, but these are most convenient for me.

Aquatic Arts is a great place to go, with great people, their main thing is corals for sure with a descent selection of livestock. Stone Aquatics has vert competitive prices and a huge livestock selection, their coral selection is good but doesn't compare to prices and selection of aquatic arts. Aquamart has a great selection of live stock as well and are a great place for knowledge. All local fish stores have their strengths and weaknesses, you just have to find one that fits what your looking for when your looking for it. I visit them all.

I go to Aquamart and Aquatic Art. AM has a huge selection of livestock. Their tangs have to quarantined though. AA is incredible. You'll spend a lot there

All livestock from all vendors should be QT'd.

Other options are Neptunes, Elite Reef, Mind Blowing Coral, Todd's Tropical, Ambrosio Aquatics, Fish Den, Liquid Kingdom, and About Fish. I still may have forgotten one or two. Stone, Aquamart and Aquatic Art are great stores too as previously mentioned by some of our fellow reefers. I hear good things about Gonzos, but Greeley is a bit of a drive so I haven't been there myself. I believe there's a store in Colorado Springs as well. Again distance has delayed a proper visit.
I tend to agree with those who favor visiting all of them. Each store has its specialty. Dipping corals and Qting fish is a must in this hobby. Happy reefing.

Thanks everyone for responding!!! I will share my experience with aquamart from yesterday. Over all a great store with very good customer service!! The store was clean and well kept with competitive prices. I picked up a b&w snowflake clown, RBTA and a Midas blenny. Everything was very healthy and thriving. The guy working there even gave me two nice frags of acropora for free with my purchase!! Would recommend this store to anyone! Going to check out Aquatic art on Friday and will get back to you guys with what I think of them!

You will likely tend to work towards AA or Gonzos as time goes on. Most of the rest of the other stores have enough LEDs for a 40G breeder covering larger frag flats a few feet off of the tank and most of the coral (especially the SPS) are browned, dull and on their deathbed and the softies are just run-of-the-mill stuff. There are too few who actually keep the coral as if they were going to keep it - this is really important to me, but perhaps I am alone.

I have had good luck with fish from that place in Greeley, Exotic Aquatics in Boulder and a few times that I have been near Aquamart. I got an african flameback at that new place on Harmony in FC - this is not a super easy fish and it has done great so I will probably go in there again for fish. I don't need a lot of fish very often since they live for so long, so I don't get around much.

I would like to share my experience with aquatic art that I visited on Friday. I was very impressed with the customer service and how nice everyone was. It's a great environment with lots of corals and knowledgeable people. I picked up a super nice acan, gold hammer, neon birds nest and a nice big chunk of acropora. The best prices I've seen in the state!! Would recommend to everyone and was definitely worth the drive!

Thanks for stopping by and the great feedback. Also from most people in this post, thank you. We try to exceed expectations and have something for everyone and strive for really good service and info while you are here. Although sometimes we have our faults and are working to correct those daily. I don't know if I was here during your visit on Friday but we were slammed! Since one of our main guys is on vacation i was out servicing accounts on Friday and we were a little understaffed that day but I'm glad your experience was still positive.

I would invite you to come down to Stone Aquatics. We have the largest selection of fish in the state. We have 500+ fish in stock and our fish go through a 3 week medicated QT.
I will at some point this week stop by Stone aquatics. Just need to figure out what my last fish will be in my tank. Lol
