How to?

I have some garbage paly's (Look like what used to be referred to as "Texas Trash Paly's") that are growing on a rock, this rock is immovable without disassembling the entire rockscape. I would like to get rid of the paly's. I've tried a bit of Kalk Paste on them, but that only irritated them for a few days and they came right back.

My thought was to do an in-tank fragging of sorts. Get a siphon hose going and put the hose by the paly's then use a sharp razor to cut them off and suck them out into a bucket? Will this work without causing too much disruption to the chemistry? Any better ideas?

Kalk will make them die if you do it often. This is what I use.

Maybe the fragging and then mall past over the remaining flesh. They are tuff... it'll take persistence.

I had a huge rock cover with plays that don't want so I got a razor blade and cut all them then did a water change now like 10 cam back so I'm going to do the same tomorrow to remove them all

Pull them off with bone cutters. Kalk over what is left. Do this again really soon as you see that some of them will live. You can get them, but it takes work and time. If you get lazy, they will be right back.

I bought some pet syringes off of amazon, and inject mine with pickling lime. It worked on the pink/golds, but only somewhat on the nuke greens. Seems like they need kryptonite to kill them. I also have them in areas that I can not reach, and have been trying to starve them of light.

So I got some bone cutters and was able to pull a few of them up and out. I could feel the mat kind of pulling up with it. My problem is accessibility, I can barely reach the problem paly's. My wife was watching/guiding me and said I was just cutting them and shredding them and no longer pulling them up. This made me wonder if I am going to spread them further?

I have been having great success with direct injection of Aptasia X. Same as asn-nano did with the pickling lime. They were suffocating my chili pepper monti :'(

A little hard to see from the picture, but I busted out the dive mask and snorkel and went after the Texas Trash! The additional reach this allowed me to get way down there and cut them off. Looks like I got them all, now to cover the area with kalk paste and see if that keeps them away.

This seriously cracked me up. I looked at the picture without reading first and had no idea what I was looking at. Too funny!
