Holy Micro bubbles Batman

I just set up my tank and filled it. I turned it on, adjusted the ball valve on the drain to not flood my home, and we seem to have found a happy medium with noise and water containment.

Bad news, I cannot get rid of the micro bubbles. They are coming from the drain. Does anyone have any suggestions or hints as to how to get rid of them?

Thanks!

Maybe some pictures of the sump? In general, baffles which force the bubbles to the surface and water to go under help trap the air bubbles. It’s tough in a confined space.

I’ve used foam blocks before the intake to the return sections to trap bubbles. I’ve also used bioballs for the same purpose (as opposed to using them for filtration, using them to trap bubbles).

Or those fancy filtration blocks? The brand names escape me.

With those methods of adding obstacles, you’ll want to consider worse case scenarios if they become clogged. Is there an alternate path for water over the baffle as a backup plan rather than onto your carpet?

Can we assume you figured things out? Would love to see what you did to work things out...
