I have 3 brand new Hamilton M58 ballasts for sale. I’m looking to get $50 for each or all 3 for $125. I’m open to coral trades as well. I will post pics later.

I'm a noob on MH, what's the difference between M58 and M80 ballasts? I'm in the market for 3 250w ballasts but am still trying to figure out what works best for what...

ANSI m58 are probe start 250w ballasts. m80 are HQI can can only run double ended stuff or 20k Radiums. These ballasts are to run the rest of the 250w Single Ended MH bulbs.

Those have not been made for like 5-6 years. 14k or 20k Hamilton or the Giesemann line of bulbs (there are many) would work with these ballasts.

Not necessarily. Both are good solutions. You get a lot of bulb flexibility with 250w Mogul Stuff and some nice large reflectors. Double Ended stuff and 20k Radium are more constraining so you better know that you are going to love 'em.

I’m open to pretty much any thing except soft corals and some LPS like acans. Everything else should be good.
