Well fingers crossed. But it looks like I may have gotten it all. If not I will dose another round. After this week I will just hope. I hate when pumps go bad. 80 gallons on the floor.

Reeflo 14 months old. Seal went out again. No more reeflo for this guy.

I’ve got one of their pumps on my skimmer for recirculation. That’s what MRC put on it originally. Already replaced the pump entirely once. Seized up. 12 months later, need to replace the seals on the new one. I guess that’s expected?

I just don’t want to rework the plumbing to accommodate a less frustrating pump. I like it when it’s working. Just wish they were a little less labor intensive.

What are your plans for replacement?

Pan world 150ps. It is hooked up and briefly tested to the upstairs display. In a couple days we will see if it can push all the water I need.

I dont understand, these pumps are hit or miss. My hammerhead has had the same seal for almost 2 years without issue.
I wonder if some models use different seals. Its definitely frustrating. Twice I have been on vacation and they have failed. Thank god for certain people that have watched my tanks while I am gone.

I have been off of Sequence/ReeFlow pumps for a long time. It sucks too, because they are local. I have never had one last more than two years in a market where my AmpMasters will last a decade... or Lagunas, Fluvals or other Askoll based pumps will do the same either internal or external. I have had them catch fire (seriously), have motors stop, seals break and bearings give out. They are just too unreliable and I am in this for the long haul and want them to last when other stuff does.

Andrew - if that 150 is not enough pump, there is a used 200 on eBay for $150. Did the 150 look like it would get the job done? If the 150 will work, it is 100 less watts than the 200... which is good and about 20-25 cents a day.

Verdict is still out if the 150 will be enough. As of right now it is running both tanks. The only question is if I am have sufficient turn over for heat and dosing in the sump. I should have an idea by noon tomorrow because the trident will have tested 4 times. I will be hand testing along side the trident for the next 24 hours as well as checking the temperature multiple times in each tank vs sump temp.

Oh so the panworld 150 ps is brought flow for both tanks. Everything appear to be balanced and equal across both tanks and sump.

Another not to add is I think the BCP is gone. I will post photos in a few days as the tank clears up.
