I'm noticing my tank is slightly higher than normal and I've had to open my my second valve all the way to keep up. I want to clean or check to see if there is a clog in one of my drain pipes. How would one go about doi g this? I hvae a basement sump and drains have about 16 feet of vertical and about another 15 horizontal.

Thoughts?

I wonder if you could just use a scope like a plumber uses? Just visually look and see if there is a clog rather than disconnecting plumbing?

Amazon has some "drain scope" for $24 that hook to your cell phone. It's only 16ft long for $24, there is a 30ft long one for $27...but it has USB end that you'd need to connect to laptop or something. I guess that only makes sense if you think it would be something you'd use again sometime?

Of course, I’m overthinking it because that’s what I do.

Don’t public aquariums have a type of plastic “bullet” they drag through pipes to clear out built up junk?

I’m imagining getting a string to flow down through the pipes with the water flowing and then dragging some sort of ball through the pipes to clear them. Not sure that would handle 90deg turns well

Why do this the easy way if you can create more work for yourself? That’s my curse.

I just saw this. I have one of these cameras. I use it to look around behind my rock work. Haven't sent it down the pipes yet. I went through a couple before I found one that worked. They tend to have apps that are very difficult to use or that just don't work at all. So I had a little bit of trial and error before I found one that was functional. Hopefully you have better luck with your first.
