All current Board members agreed that they would like to continue to participate on the board.
Open Board positions: VP - Adam has been nominated and is considering his acceptance. Adam will let the Board know within 7 days. Member at Large. Board is getting a list of candidates and reaching out to those members to see if they are interested.
What are the goals of this Board? Being able to put on larger meetings for the club members. This will include bigger events and venues as well as well known speakers in the hobby.
Began discussion of planning the next frag swap (summer 2013)
Discussed the need to find backup location for December frag swap in case the Columbine H.S. is unable to hold this meeting.
Discussed the need to track raffle items better.
Scott will be opening a new account under the Club at Public Service Credit Union. This account will be opened with $100 cash, the rest of the funds in the Key Bank account will be transferred over after the account is opened.
The Paypal account is currently locked. Adam will reach out to Paypal to find out why as well as how to resolve it. The paypal account will also be linked to the new PSCU account so funds can be transferred easier.
Appointed Positions:
Chad was appointed as the Membership chair (duties explained in the bylaws)
Adam was appointed as the MASNA delegate.
Chad was appointed as the Communication's chair.
Derek was appointed as the Webmaster.
Drew was appointed as the Sponsorship chair.
Scott was appointed as the event's coordinator.
Scott informed the Board that he is planning to have each member plan at least 1 of the society meetings per year.
