Great macro shots! What are you using to shoot them with? In water or out of water?
Thanks a lot! I have a Nikon d3300 and a panagor 90mm macro I found used, so all these pics are through the glass. It's been fun getting into it, still want to try filters to get the best rendition but it's close:)

I have the Nikon D3100, and been thinking about a macro lens. I have some gel filters I got off eBay. They were for cell phone pictures, but work just fine on dslr. Here they are: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gel-Filters...696932?hash=item3d292b1f24:g:zdsAAOSwnDZT4U~h They are only about 1.5"x1.5" but you can center it on the lens and crop the edges out after.

get one, its been awesome seeing the tank up close and never gets old. I just snagged some extension tubes today as well, they work great. I found a hoya 81a filter i think its called, seems to bring out the warmer colors pretty well for me, ill have to get a set of gels and try them out as well!

I have a similar tank. What return pump are you using and gallons per hour? What powerheads are you using?

Thanks! Mines still kinda small, it grows so slow, but I might be able to take a small piece off of it soon!

Did you seriously find a Lightning Maroon for $40 at Petco? That's like something out of Bizzaro world!! Nice find!!!!
That is what they are going for at Petco now, I saw a buy down in the Springs last week for them for a little lass as well. Think a lot of vendors are going to be sitting on $200 lightning maroons soon.
