Im looking to start culturing some pods, so I'm going to need phytoplankton to feed them.
I'm reading "A GUIDE TO THE MESO-SCALE PRODUCTION
OF THE COPEPOD ACARTIA TONSA"(http://nsgl.gso.uri.edu/flsgp/flsgph07002.pdf) and they recommend Rhodomonas salina and Rhodomonas lens with a couple other strains to supplement. Now, the cultures for these guys are around $60 each. Does anybody have experience with these strains? Or is it sufficient just to buy a strain off ebay and use that?
