My Rainbow Tort. I love the yellow tips.

Has anybody seen this one before? I rescued it as a frag from a dying Fiji transshipped colony.

Is this your pic? What lighting is it under. From the pic, the tips look green, not yellow - is that a picture rendering thing?

I am nearly positive that this is Austera or Tortuosa. I will brush the dust off of my Veron books later and look it up. People call Austera torts, so perhaps we are mixing terms.

If need pics if you have this, or it doesn't exist. :)

It is whatever the ORA Tort is. My ORA Tort is branchier, but where it has a bunch of braches together, they are identical once you get past the color. Neither are Acropora Tortuosa as outlined in JEN Veron's Book 1 Page 265.

One of these is ORA Tort, the other is the Rainbow:

Doesn't sound like it is endangered. Go and see Josh and get some. This is one of the coolest corals in my tank. Grows fast too... If it is widely available, then I will let it grow... the only thing that I love more than sweet SPS frags are sweet SPS colonies.
