Snail Eggs on the Glass?

So I saw one of my larger snails laying what looks like an egg string on the glass the other day. Check out the pics below. I've also seen other small egg sacks on the back glass but never actually saw which snails they came from. I actually witnessed this girl laying the egg string. Can anyone confirm that this indeed is an snail egg string ( technical term?) Do they usually hatch or do they usually get consumed by other inverts etc? Thanks!

Cerith eggs.......there is one type of Cerith in this area that will develop into snails but most
end up as fish/coral food.

I think it was a larger cerith that I got from a local reefer because ceriths I got from reefcleaners were much smaller.....and I have a **** ton of them :) Maybe I'll birth some babies we shall see! Thx for the input!
