purchased this a year ago from Diver's Den. 4 inches. Huge and healthy. Got a new trio that is smaller so I need to get rid of her. One of the few reefsafe angelfish and tough to find.

Also known as the Masked Swallowtail Angelfish, the Japanese Swallowtail Angelfish is about the rarest of the Genicanthus Angelfish seen in the US aquarium trade. This stunning fish is commonly thought of a reef safe though there have been reports of some nipping at corals from our customers. As with most the Genicanthus Angelfish, they are very suitable for pairing of one male with a female or even a single male with a small harem of females. Among reef aquarists especially, this is the prize angelfish to own.
The Female Japanese Swallowtail Angelfish is characterized by a white and yellow body with black mask on the face and vertical white stripe in front of the pectoral fins. The Male Japanese Swallowtail Angelfish is characterized by horizontal yellow stripes on the face with a yellow patch over the gills and a broad yellow stripe down the length of the body. Additionally, the male Japanese Swallowtail Angelfish has golden brown vertical stripes on the body with yellow spots on the dorsal fin.
Japanese Swallotail Angelfish generally acclimate well to aquariums and will feed on a wide variety of food including marine algae, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp and angelfish preparations. View attachment 9999
