Hi All,

Wondering if those folks that have rastas in their tank can give some time frames for how long these take to grow. I know it is different for each tank based on a whole ton of variables but wondered if I might get some insight.

Thanks,

Adam

Mine were extremely slow growing. Maybe a polyp a month. I have friends that saw 2-4 polyps a month. Can't explain it as both systems were healthy. However some stuff grew better in my tank than theirs.

Probably going to jinx it. I bought mine from Colin about a 2 months ago. Started with 5 or so heads now have about 12-14 heads

Mine have been slow growing. I started with about 3 polyps about 3 months ago. I now have about 9 polyps. I am hoping as i get more, the growth shoots up exponentially.

Mine don't grow quickly but they are growing. I fragged a couple for the DBTC meeting, I
have mine under T5s which I know you have in your tank Adam. Mine are on the sand
bed and would probably grow better up higher but I though they'd be easier to frag if
I let them spread on the sand and it worked nicely. Probably a polyp or two a month.

It's also worth pointing out if you were to frag them new polyps usually appear within a week or two. Not sure what you were looking to do with them.

Got some from Colin as well, they grow at 2-3 polyps/month as well.

As far as fragging, they are notorious melters.
