I have a 6 gallon bucket full of crushed coral substrate. I washed it all(several times) before I stored it. If you make your way down to Boulder, I'd be interested in the skimmer and 1 biowheel.

This guy thought I was apperently lieing about the weight it amount of the sand Which is 60lbs and he thought it was like 20lbs. Idk why but I showed pics of wht it looked like covering my whole tank bottom. So if he buys it from u PLEASE be sure to a weigher or something to prove Cause pics aren't enough apparently

You know I wasn't going to tell the story because I thought it was a little rude and I didn't want to hinder your future sales... But because we have to throw this out there like this here is the story... I met up with this KID while the deal was 60 pounds of sand for $30... When I met him it turned out to be a bin a little larger around than a five gallon bucket MAYBE 3 inches deep filled with sand and water... I am not a super ripped dude so I know for me it would be a little hard to curl 60 pounds of sand which was not the case with this... Not trying to be rude but I really don't like trying to be hustled! As I'm sure all of us are aware of is that when setting up a tank sand fills up quite a bit of a bucket when your washing it out! I know from my own experience while I was putting almost 200 pounds of sand in to my tank and me filling up almost 8 buckets to do so... So sorry bud if your scale says that's 60 pounds you should probably invest in a new one! Oh and a good business tip... When someone doesn't buy your product while they are walking away not a good idea to start yelling curse words like an immature child! And I hope this doesn't have to go further than this... I'm not much for one to banter through typing! If there was more that you need to say you still have my number and you are more than welcome to call or text instead of trying to make me look bad for a deal that didn't work out in your favor!

I don't make it down south that much to be honest my work schedule doesn't really allow it. Would crushed coral be good for making a deep sand bed for a refuge?

but as far as the bio wheels honestly they are just taking up space in my allotted fish closet that my girlfriend so graciously allowed me to have lol but on my last thread I was selling both of them for $25 with the extra filter cartiges they are used and could use a cleaning but they both work with all the parts so I guess if you want one of them... How about... $12.53 but one of the quarters has to be from New York... Or both for $25 with no strings attached! Hahaha

All I can say is that first wasn't my sand its my dads and ur experience must have not done u well cause I went home and weighed it and it was 61.2 lbs. so experience not that good at all apperently unless that bin was 40lbs u were wrong.

An also just cause I'm a kid does not say anything I had a 65gal reef that I would be jelious of, I had to sell it In order to get a car. And for u to judge me for the steriotipical teen is wrong without even knowing me And also telling me I'm trying to low ball u is Agein a damn stupid judgment cause u didn't even know how much the sand weighed. Get ur evidence and then tell me wht u want to tell me instead of stereotyping

I completely understand. Maybe a job for USPS flat-rate boxes? I don't think have a deep sand bed in my fuge, it is maybe 3-4 inches deep of crushed coral. I do tend to believe that crushed coral's distribution in size can support a larger array of biodiversity than regular sand.

Re: Wtb sand

Crushed coral traps more detritus then fine sand. Each one has its benefits tho. I had horrible water quality issues with cc so I just switched to fine sand but finer stuff blows around.
