Anyone running water softener in front of rodi?

Hey all,
so i am preparing to start a build thread, and working in the "filter room". Just bought new rodi unit from filter guys. Here in highlands ranch my water has tons of hard water deposits. Would it be smart to run a softener to extend life of rodi membranes?

I would just replace your first filter more often to extend the lifespan of the other filters.

You can also use multiple sediment filters that go from a larger to smaller micron size. If you're diligent about flushing the membrane after each use...adding a flush kit should help extend the life as well.
