Well finally getting around to finishing part of the basement to do a basement sump for the 210 I picked up not terribly long ago for a steal.

Pics of finishing basement.

First time ever framing. Don't think I did too bad!

Finished framing. Now to plan electrical and decide who's going to do it.

Stand.

Building a stand for the tank. Luckily new father in law is a professional cabinet maker so yeah really he's building me a stand I'm helping.

Well decided to go with a steel stand going to put magnets on wood doors to make it look good. Pics once it's done.

Canopy

Im making the canopy out of aluminum, basing it loosely on aquatic arts display. I brazed the aluminum together. Essentially soldering it together. Fram is going to sit on the frame of the tank and bottom of the ceiling of the canopy will be about 13in off the water.

Lights are going to be slightly movable. Able to be slid back and forth.

Finished the canopy

Grooves cut in rack to secure the lights but still allow them to be slid back and forth with no chance of falling

With metal halides

Let there be light.

Finally finished the doors
