Anyway, I know these guys are bad...was just wondering if they had a real name.

I'm not worried about him right now. He is in my 55 gal FOWLR tank.

Bad for coral, probably ok in a FOWLR. I can't remember what they are called. Maybe a Gorilla crab?

I know elite will feed it to their mantis shrimp if you take it to them!!! It's a pretty cool show!

LOL.

Crazy. I have one of these in my Caribbean LR, didn't know until know what it was until now. I wonder if my porc puffer will eat it with those spiky hairs.

Looks like my rock has been sleeping around, does garlic work for that?

I used to have a huge one that lived in my nano. He made himself a burrow in a piece of live rock. The pic is kinda blurry but you can see he was a beast. I always knew them as teddy bear crabs. View attachment 10270

It would probably do just fine in a sump. As long as you don't mind your rocks getting trashed. Those little guys have powerful claws and crush rock pieces and dig burrows. Also mine got pretty big! It's body was a little bit bigger then a quarter.
