So I have read till blue in the face on setting up a ca reactor but still don't trust myself! So is there anyone who can come help me? Willing to pay $ or corals!! Looking to do this next week cause I'm on vacation from 14 -21 lmk thanks
Good luck, please share any tips. Just set one up a few weeks ago myself, so far so good, but am definitely still reading to make sure I didn't screw anything up.
You're gonna have to test daily until it's dialed in. You'll also need some additives to get it where you want it then use the reactor to keep it there
Dude, I'd be glad to help you. I'm not the worlds expert but can surely help ya get it going. Are you using your reef keeper to help run it? Text me and we can meet. I have a couple weeks off.
+1 This is very likely. I have made the mistake of making changes to the tank before going on vacation which resulted in serious problems that were difficult if not impossible to deal with remotely. I would wait to set up anything new to the tank until after vacation.

I think I tested for alk 2-3 times a day for the first week (mainly because I'm OCD about adding new things to my tank). I made the switch from B-ionic 2part. Alk shot up to almost 12 for the first few days, but I think that was mainly due to the system adjusting from one additive to the other.
