I've got about 80 lbs of live sand left over from my old tank when I upgraded to a 125. I kept the tank full of water and it still has tons of worms, copepods, etc. but i dont like reusing sand when I upgrade. This is about half crushed coral with aragonite sand. The only rule on this is if you find someone starting a new tank, give them a handful of yours to seed their tank.
Ive got about 3 handfuls of grape caulerpa. I no longer use this in my fuge since I prefer cheato so I can alternate lighting cycles. My only rule on this is that you keep it lighted 24/7 so it doesnt go sexual on you
