It has begun, frags are available untill Sun. Feb 27th.
Please only post pictures and system details for your competition frags here, post all questions in the original "Voodoo growout" thread.
I made the frags as close to 1/4" square as I could, and competitors were given the choice of plug or disk. I then mounted and weighed the frag.
Cheaters will be publicy ridiculed while we all point and laugh, and of couse banned from any future MASC competitions.
Thank you and good luck.

Here it is.

Just upgraded to my 120 about 4 months ago from a 90g. I have a 6 bulb suntek lighting system on it that I love and does a great job with corals. A 40g sump with a refugium I grow chaeto in. An aqua c ev 180 powered by a mag 9.5 in another section of the sump. An eheim 1262 for my return. An eshopps float valve hooked up to a 10g custom reservoir from advanced acrylic. A uv sterlizer and a knob c calcium reactor. Inside the tank I have a tunze nano wavemaker. Also have a tunze controllable 6100 and 6055 powered by a tunze 7095. Unbelievable water movement in my tank, I am glad I finally spent a little on that portion of the hobby. Also have a 5-6 inch sand bed my diamond goby enjoys rearranging on a regular basis. 120-150lbs of lr too.

55 g tank, 30 g sump w/ chaeto, 10 g frag tank (all connected). 4x HO T-5's 50/50 over DT, 3x 100w daylight spots over frag tank, 8 fish (1 in frag tank), mixed corals (leathers/soft/sponges on bottom, LPS in midsection and SPS across top). 5% water change weekly. Testing weekly or ever other week depending on time. Only dosing Alk atm because that is the only parameter that is low, and it's slowly getting to where I want it to be, and a few drops of iodine daily since my poor fire shrimp died molting. 1c carbon every 2-4 weeks, 2 liter bottle skimmer in sump, 50# LR
Temp 78, SG 1.026, pH 8.2 ish (red sea sucks!), alk 8.0, Mg 1440, Ca 470, ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, phosphates 0
Feeding daily. So far I never spot feed but I put phytoplankton, zooplankton, flakes, brine shrimp (frozen or live depending on what's in the fridge), blood worms in. Gotta love live brine shrimp b/c they dive right into the lps.

Frag placement: Top center. Flow is strong across the top / back and weak in the front / bottom for my softies. Seems happy enough and little white polyps are out.
Pics are crap b/c kodak cant make an autofocus worth a sh*t and it can't be turned off.

How often should we post updates?
The rules say 1 time a month is the least amount, but if you're getting some cool growths and want to just take pictures then you could update whenever you'd like lol.
