Reactor help

So just added a brs carbon reactor, how much carbon do you put in it!? I feeled it 3/4. Also do you run it 27/7 have mine going for 12 hrs a day! Any insight will help! Thanks c

Brs should have a calculator for how much too add. I run mine 24/7

Hmm ill have to check the site, what pump u use to run it? I have a maxi-jet 1200

That's what I use as well. Carbon I just fill half full haven't had issues for years. I run it 24/7 gfo I monitor and keep online as needed and only run a certain amount

Ive had issues with carbon not being tightly packed in the chamber and breaking up and ending up in the flow. Regardless of how much your using, make sure its packed in there tight and not "bumbling" around. You want the gfo to "bumble" around though so dont pack it, Ive noticed itll turn to mud if you pack it in there and water wont flow through it.

1200 should be able to get the job done. I run mine off may main pump

+1, worked best for me, and kept one less pump out of the sump. Freed up a pump for water mixing! :)
