So....while spying on my tank during lights out I found my two cleaner shrimp eating my derasa clam I noticed one of the shrimp picking at it the other night but tonight it looks like they finished it off. Sad night to say the least as I really liked that clam.
They only do this if the clam is dying, sick or dead! Sorry for your loss but
I don't think they are the culprits.

I have been told before that they simply finish off dying and or injured things before. However this clam was perfectly fine 3 days ago as far as I could see. Now...maybe something got to its foot and I didn't know but appeared fine until first night when lights went out.
