We were supposed to do these last month, but they kind of fell through the cracks. So timeline for these elections is as follows: General nominations will be open for 2 weeks until Aug 7th @12pm. Official voting thread for all nominees will be the following week, and will conclude on Aug 14th.

Please keep this thread to nominations, seconds, and acceptance of nominations only. We will validate all nominee's meet the criteria as stated in the bylaws. If you have any questions that are not answered in this post please PM or contact any member of the Board.

VI.5. The terms of office for Board members shall not exceed two consecutive three-year terms in the same office for officer positions; Member at large positions will be two years in length with no term limits, this length is to allow for board continuity rather than having constantly switching members who must consistently relearn the duties and expectations of the position and also to allow for long term goals of the club.
VI.5.a The following positions will be up for elections starting in 2012 followed with new elections every 3 years: Vice-President, Secretary. In 2013 the following positions will be up for election in 2013 followed by new elections every 3 years: President, Treasurer. Two Member at large positions will be elected in 2013 for two year terms and the remaining two positions will be up for election in 2014 and will consist of the most recently filled member at large positions as of the approval of these bylaws.

These are the same positions that were last up for election in 2021…..why isn’t it rotating to Scott Chases MAL spot and the open position? There hasn’t been any kind of election since @Dr.DiSilicate and I were replaced in ‘21.
Ya we sadly missed the election for those last year because we didnt have a Secretary and I forgot about them. According to bylaws these are the ones open this year so have to stick with that really and will follow up with the others early next year

Maybe it would help to have the entire board listed with when they were elected, when they are up for reelection, and how many terms they have served (for the term limited positions). For example Mural was voted VP in August of 2018 and re-elected in 2021. So he might make a better Secretary nomination and Jodi VP.

President - Angel took over for Chad in 2018 (should have been up for reelection in 2019)
VP Mike Mural elected 2018 and re-elected 2021
Secretary - Halmus 2018 & 2021
Treasurer - Adam Monchak (reelection in 2019 never happened)
MAL 1 - Scott Chase (reelection 2022 never happened)
MAL 1 - vacant (election in 22 never happened)
MAL 2 - Jodi 2021 (reelection in 23 never happened)
MAL 2 - SCMountain 2021(reelection 23 never happened)

Essentially the most recent elections were 2018 and then again in 2021 and nothing since.

Please correct where necessary.

Thanks. This is why we need an active Secretary to keep all this straight. ;)

With that though, then I change @JodiI nomination to VP, and Mike @MuralReef to secretary since he is at term limit for VP.

Remember all nominations needed to be seconded by another member, and then the nominee needs to accept it, for them to be in the running for that position
