So I have been meaning to re-do the frag rack I have in my frag tank for some time. I printed one for it, a long time ago, and it works okay, but its bulky and it gets air bubbles in it that are very hard to get out, so it often time will start floating all the sudden.

There are lots of 3d printed racks out there but most are very basic and minimalist. I have had an idea for a while to make something that's more modular so that its easier to customize.

Finally got a chance this week to sit down and work on the 3d model(s) for this.

After a few initial prototypes I think I finally have something that works really well for me. Printing the first pieces now
Basically the design is just a small octagon with clips that snap together easily and posts with different heights that also snap in between four octagons. So far the first prints snap together perfectly and I eliminated most of the empty space inside the print. In other words, they don't float!

Let me know what you think

Either way it looks like my filament sensor is on the fritz and I will need to wait for a replacement before I can continue printing these.
I did get quite a few done so far, but have many more yet to go.
Overall I am liking the design though. they are fairly easy to snap together and take apart again as needed. You can even make them flat or you can curve them slightly which gives the option to really customize the frag rack to be whatever you want
