Acan Help

Oh i Am very mad at myself. I left a porcillopora on a rock and it fell on my really nice beautiful colony of rainbow acans. After i came back from a movie some of them had white stringy stuff on them and looked liked they were not happy and also were looking like they were missing some flesh or something hard to tell, ill have to check in the morning. i think this is just the coral defending it self by putting out its digetive system to attack the porcillo, but i am not sure exactly if this is what they do if injured or trying to reapir flesh. Can someone give me advice as to if i should be worried, or is this just something that will go away, I need Help to know if i can do anything, so i dont lose my acans. SO MAD AT MYSELF:wall:

Oh I know how frustrating it is when things get knocked into one another, stupid fish and snails, crabs etc. I would not worry as I don't think much can be done. Just glue or putty things down, I have lost things the same way. Your acan might be ok, we will cross our fingers. Even if it looks dead, give it a chance to come back.

In that scenario if anything got hurt it would be the Pociliopora. Acans are pretty tough when it comes to coral warfare. If they were touching for just the length of a movie I am sure any damage that happened is pretty minimal

Some SPS can burn the hell out of other corals, and depending on the sub species of acan, the damage can vary, echinata and rotundoflora will win almost every time, and most other acans are, well, kinda wusses, especially lordhowensis.

OH WOW just checked this morning and my acans look happy, but the porcillo, not so much. Hes pretty much owned by the acan. Hes got like a side of bear skeleton showing and looks very poor. Now im confused what to do. Throw away porcillopora, Keep it, Cut of the branch IDK, what do do?

I would trim the dead areas and leave the rest be.

If you need some replacement pocillopora I have green poc. coming out of my ears right now I would give you a frag.
