Anyone ever hook up ai sol to the director

I bought a director and a wireless adapter and cant seem to get it to work. I can detect the adapter but says needs firmware update to be compatable so I click update and then it says unable to update.

Anyone have any ideas

I've got an idea. Return the director and get an AWM for your apex. From what I hear the directors are a PITA.

I had the vdm module for apex and I didnt like it personally maybe im just controller illiderate I dont have my.apex do much lol

Is this for sols or did you get like a hydra or something? Either way, Im a whiz with any apex programming. Just let me know what you want it to do and I can build a code for you that is flawless.

Well I bought the director and a hydra 26 for my new tank and have it going very nicely
I also bought a wireless adapter for my sols over my big tank and was hoping to control them with it also

If you have the adaptors, I would go with an AWM over the director any day. Setup is a breeze and you have the new lighting wizard in fusion that is way easier than the ai interface.

Ill have to update to fusion ive been holding off due to wondering if tge kinks were worked out

Kinks are worked out. I've done some stress testing for Neptune and everything checks out. There is a miniscule chance that the firmware update could get corrupted during transfer, and if you are below firmware 4.2, you wont be able to restore using a backup without setting the firmware back to what you have, so I would copy/paste your programming to a word doc just in case, but chances are real low. Paul has only seen it happen 10 times out of every apex that made the transfer. You can always call me if you run into trouble.
