Ok so now that I have my 75 Gallon almost up I need advice with my nano tank. I was thinking QT, but it will be up and running full time. Before the heater got stuck on i had cerith snail babies everywhere. Is it possible to keep breeding them to leave me a fresh supply. Also could i farm pods to start seeding my tank in hopes of getting a mandarin one day. What would you do with it. Here's the specs of the tank http://www.aquacon.com/Nanowave9.html

I have one, but not running yet. Has a really cool back area compared to some. I believe they can have heat issues though. A 75g I think would get plenty of pods for a mandarin. Sure you could try using it to grow pods and other refugium type critters. But without the loop between them you'd have to be basically feeding the tank gunk and as far as transfering them to main tank not sure what you would do other than maybe have 2 big porous rocks in either tank. Every few weeks swap them between the 2 tanks.

Could make it into a tiny frag tank, or macro algae tank. Or I'd just do something more than just grow bugs in it. Afterall it's a hassle of a second tank unlike a refugium which is just plumbed into one system.
