Ato pump?

So I have a biocube 29. It is on the stock stand (about 3.5-4 feet to top of tank). I have the jbj ato system but wondering what pump I should use? The cheaper the better, I don't have much of a budget.

Nope. 2 ft is even pushing it.


Ive used this one before. Its specified for 30" max height, but ive used it for 5 ft without issues. Just make sure to set the jbj to the lowest possible settings since it pushes out about 1/2 gallon at the lowest setting at 4 ft head.

I use a maxi jet 1200 I think with my jbj on my red sea max so same-ish setup and it pumps it up no problem.

I currently use both the Maxi jet 1200 and the aqua lifter on separate tanks. The Aqualifter works fine on my main display, and the maxi jet is set up on my frag tank. I've never had an issue with either pump, just with my poor engineering, so make sure that you don't run the top off line so that there can be a siphoning effect from your tank back down to your ato reservoir. If you use the Aqualifter you can probably run the top off line to your reservoir where your return pump in your biocube is. Shouldn't have to really do any modifications and won't really have the ability to siphon back down.
