I believe that "aquarium aquaculture" will play a vital role in the future of our reefs. We all know that typically speaking a frag from a mother colony (whether it be aquacultured, maricultured or wild) tend to do better in our closed systems then the mother colony. With that being said I believe these hardier corals from our aquariums might someday contribute to rebuilding our reefs. Not saying that the home hobbyist will rebuild the reef but many of the same techniques we as hobbyists use will be put to use to rebuild dying reefs. Just my opinion.
