Bad electrical wire on pump

Hello everyone I have a question, can a non toxic liquid electrical tape be used in the aquarium water? I have a bad spot of insulation on my pump, and was looking for a quick fix. Thanks

Idk.... Idk if I'd risk it even thought it says non toxic that's for humans I'm sure and not necessarily designed to be submerged in a reef.... Hmm I would probably just douse it in super glue or something like that for temporary solution at least we know cyanoacrylate is not Reef toxic

Ya I was thinking about putting some frag glue or aquarium silicon on it. Thanks for the reply

That might get by short term, but wonky power cord and water would be an immediate reason to upgrade equipment...

Ya this is a short term fix, I only get paid once a month. Trying to make it till the 1st of August. No wire showing, just the insulation looks a bit brittle.
