So I have what I consider a decent fish trap made diy courtesy of an empty juice bottle.
It has a decent sized hole more than enough for any of the fish in my tank to enter through, but I cant get a single fish to go inside of it.
Ive tried baiting it with a cube of mysis, cyclopeeze, flake/garlic, half a fresh shrimp, and nothing has interested the fish enough to get em inside. Its been about 36 hours since the last time they were fed. Any suggestions?
The target fish to extract are a damsel, chromis, foxface, butterfly.
All are normally eager eaters and chase down anything they think is edible. I still seeing em chasing down random bits in the water column, but none seem to go for the bait. Although I do now consider myself a pro crab/snail trapper. Got 5 the first night.
Anyhow if you have any ideas toss em my way.
