Hi all,

My wife and I are interested in taking trips to some of the nicer LFS in the denver Metro area.

We live close to 38th and Federal to give you an idea of where we are at. This is really close to Fish Den - but so far I am unimpressed with this store.

Who has some recommendations for us?

(sorry if this is in the wrong spot)

Thanks!

About Fish on 74th and Federal, but shop with caution, Ive seen some great and healthy stuff there, Ive seen some BS there too. Elite Reef is good all around, there is Catfish Charlies and Liquid Kingdom up north as well.

Jack covered them all.

Some have good luck with Keys Island and Todds Tropical as well.

There is also Aqua Imports in Boulder that's pretty good.

You cant go wrong with Elite, great quality, however, as a regular I do get tired of seeing the same old stuff, they do give a discount to badged members as well.

+1 on Aquamart and Aquatic Art. I drive from Stapleton to hit these places.

Also, Neptune's Tropical Fish is excellent.

These places all have very high quality/quarantine protocol.

Suggest that for Catfish Charlie's you only buy if you plan to run full/conservative quarantine.

I can always find something in the $10 or $20 frag tanks at Keys Island - off Santa Fe & Oxford, right before Red & Jerrys... Not the AAA+ stuff that Aquatic Art has, but have found some gems in there.
