My tank has been neglected a little longer than I like, have an over abundance of coraline growing on my acrylic. After scraping and/or scrubbing what gets the left behinds on the glass, any suggestions?
That's tough mine is only 24". I'd go I've to Plasticare and get some longer pieces from the scrap bins. They sell it cheaper than full pieces and they will cut it for you.
I definitely will go to Plasticare, thickness matter? You don't know how many times I have debated snorkel and mask. However, my tank is also a corner tank so the hood and my lids won't allow. Who knows might be the end all...ha
My tank is 6' x 4' and I had 1-2" of coralline around the bottom edge of the tank. I went through 2 pieces of 2" x 4" acrylic using really only the 2" sides. Use one side flip it over and use the other edge.
All good ideas, what problem I have now is I let the cleaning of the acrylic go for awhile so no the front is pretty well covered. I can scrape off the build up its all the coraline that us left behind and how to scrape. So I would like my glass clean as I can get it. I really do enjoy my tank.
