Any one know of some good camping areas? No RV just tents.
Looking for close proximity to any particular activities? Like mountain biking, 14ers, or fishing?

The sand dunes are pretty sweet. Bit of a drive though.

Gotta love the dunes! Red feather feels like a world away and not very far.

Anywhere in the Pourde Canyon is awesome. Lots of car camping sites and if you like backpacking there are plenty of great trails in there too. My favorite is Emmaline lake and Cirque Meadows.

I like Walden colorado for riding on sand dunes. Out side of Lake George, between the town and 11 mile reservoir is one of my favorite places to go. Good stuff up Barbour forks trail in Idaho springs. Few places off fall river road outside of Idaho springs. I also don't do pre fabbed spots I go dispursed camping.

Leadville/Twin Lakes area - not too far away. Tons of hiking and fishing! A few places to bust out the ATV's, too.
