FYI to all concerned tmama is my extremely excited 13 yo grandson who did't know the rules. And he was simply trying to get started with corals as he was inspired by all the beautiful frags in Loveland. Of those we bought several and he has generously passed on some to a friend also just beginning. Again we apparently don't know how this system works as he keeps trying to get one but has not gotten any as yet... He does not mean to sound greedy and is very generous with the little he has..... His enthusiasm is infectious pleas help mentor him not misjudge him! He would like to learn how to make frags so he can share! My hope is this is a good group for him to learn from and have fun, we really enjoyed all the great people we met in Loveland.
I think this helps clear up alot, the basic rules are pretty simple when a frag is placed for dbtc if you accept it you agree to pass frags of it on to 2 others before you can sale or trade it. the person offering the frag can also place additional rules for claiming the frag.
To realy get other members to enbrace and maybe mentor your grandson have him post up in the introduction threads, ppl love to hear how others get started and love to see pics of their tanks.
The denver area has a huge community and lots of events that would help your grandson become more involved in his saltwater hobby.
