Controller question...especially for basement sump guys.

So, I realized I had a question that is fairly crucial that I haven't heard being touched on in all my research. I did a main floor build with two tanks that are plumbed to the basement with a stock tank. Most of the maintenance and so forth will happen in the basement.

SO, how do you hook up a controller to do everything? If you're trying to control lighting along with everything else, how do you do that when the lights are on the main floor? Is the only answer having 8-10 extension cords, one for every light power cord? That would totally suck!! I was hoping to snag an Apex in the near future.

Anyone with a basement sump running a controller for everything (including lighting)?!? Input please!!

My drivers for LED's are in the basement. So that's easy for me.
All the probes also are in the sump which is in the basement.

The only thing I have going up from the basement is a bunch of 16guage wire going to the LEDs

I run a rkl upstairs to control the lights and have a temp display and I run an AC Jr down in the sump room for the rest.

Yeah, pricey isn't going to work. :(

Two controllers!! Blahhhh...back to the pricey issue. I was afraid of this. I guess the lighting will just have be controlled separately. Oh well.

I got a rkl for 80,00. Extension cords and timers would be 60
