So, how does one remove old dead coralline or calcium build up on the inside of a tank? There are white semi-transparent circles all over the inside of our tank that we want to get rid of. Any input?

Vinegar filled spray bottle and a razor blade is what I have used many many times

That's a lot of vinegar for a 180 gallon tank. I think a spray bottle and razor would be easier. Just have Erica climb in and do it. Lol

A gallon or two of vinager for 3-4 bucks is well worth not having to scrub or maybe that's me being lazy lol

We actually have been considering just what you said criagar, and getting a few gallons of vinegar and filling up the tank. We will need to get the tank plumbed before we can do that though.

If you can , turn the tank on its side, takes less vinegar. You have to let it sit to really get it to work. When your done, place the tank on another side. 4times should do the trick. Then a little scraping.

Haha hey Drew, you wanna come help me turn the tank on its side? Lol, after watching them lift it I'll just spring for the extra vinegar and not try to move it ever till we move out of here.

I think you can buy acetic acid at home depot. Then it's not diluted with water. It'd be less to buy than vinegar. I don't know the cost difference.
