I have to partially disagree.
I've seen many Six Line Wrasses that exhibit parasite cleaning behavior.
It's not a sure thing, maybe like a 25% chance they will, but I've had at least a dozen six line wrasses come through the shop over the years that clearly cleaned fish they were housed with, although usually only larger fish like good sized tangs and angels, etc.
Don't count on it, but it can be a nice side benefit, along with eating pests and coral parasites.
I'm glad you mentioned your experience. I wasn't going to say anything because I thought maybe I was mistaken and no one would believe me, but last night I watched my sixline (he's maybe 2.5 inches long) nipping (not attacking) my bicolor blenny. The blenny would perch himself on his favorite rock and the sixline would make a couple of pecks and then the blenny would adjust his position and they'd repeat. This went on for maybe 2 minutes or so, which is rare for my blenny as he never stays in one place long.
I've noticed the same attempt with my clowns-- but the clowns seem very aggressively lately as I believe they're about to spawn... so the sixline never does get very close.
I have no other fish so I can't corroborate any further, but of all the fish I wouldn't expect my blenny to allow a cleaning.
Sixlines, I'm told, can be aggressive but I've only ever seen mine flash his fins and do a funny little "dance" towards other fish and even that is rare.
I should note, I couldn't see any parasites on my blenny...not saying they're not there, but he looks pretty clean to me.
