So whats the difference with the MP10 models?

I see MP10ES, MP10W ES, are there more?

MP10W ES is wireless, and has the W that lights up?

There is a 3rd "legacy" model...the MP10. That model doesn't have the "ES" designation and doesn't have the ability to program the EcoSmart modes (e.g. nutrient transport mode). You'll be able to spot these easily though...people refer to them as "blue box" MP10s because their driver is a blue rectangle with buttons on the side vs the current white box with 3 soft buttons on the face

The 2 current models are the MP10ES and MP10WES. The only difference is the wireless capability...you're correct that the "W" lights up on wireless models.

It still has the W but it doesn't light up. You can buy the wireless chip for like $40 I want to say and that chip has the led on it as well that lights the W

More confusion! You think they could simply label them MP10WES and MP10ES.

yes the wireless card plugs into the driver behind the w and lights it up. And i have an extra wireless card if anyone is interested, $20.

Took a look at mine this morning and want to correct some info. The wireless card sits opposite side from the "W" on the front, the led that lights up is already present on the main board.

Yup, guess I waited for a reason :)

Think 1 new MP40 is good enough for a 75, or will I need 2 10's?

A 40 should be plenty for a 75 if you have something to mix up the corners on the opposite side to prevent dead spots in the bottom corners.

AS far as I know, the only model that didn't have wireless capability was the early mp40s, and some of the very very early mp10s. all others come with built in wireless ecosmart. now to throw a wrench into it, ecotech marine is about to unvail their newest pumps which are the wQD.. Example MP40wQD which is their quiet drive models.

There is still a version of the MP10 that is not wireless (mp10es). There will also be a new non wireless mp10 QD.
