Emerald crab and a bristle worm

I found my emerald crab belly up with a bristle worm crawling around inside him. Could the crab have been killed by the worm or was it simply his 'time'?

I am sure it was his time, unless that worm was like mega huge.

The bristle worm was probably cleaning up the death.

Alright, I went out to dinner, came back and found what I thought was the only Emerald Crab in the tank walking around like it was no big deal. I imagine that the crab that was KIA is a stowaway from a recent addition of live rock and soft coral. Apparently there is only enough room for one emerald in the tank.

I thought that maybe it was a molt but it was a caracas, weird...

it was a molt if I was just guessing, they look amazingly like the real deal

Either way, I have an emerald crab that is doing well and as long as the bristle worms keep out of the rest of the inhabitants, all is as it should be.

LOL...yeah, I definitely vote for molt. I've been totally duped at least 3 times thinking I lost some of my favorite inverts! The last one was my very large porcelain crab. LOVE that thing, totally thought he was a goner. Good to go the next day.
