The director if the Montessori school sent a text out saying they had been informed not to drink city water as there may he a sewage back up. I cant find this information anywhere but I'm not trusting it till I can call the water department in the morning.

Mike:

I've checked our internal communication link, media briefs and PIO outlets and there are no warnings about that at all about a treated water threat. Further, if it were true we would likely do a Reverse 911 to warn residents, on fb, etc. City water comes from treated reservoirs; for sewage to get into the water system it would require a sewer system upstream from Greeley to break and enter one of those reservoirs; I've been watching all the media outlets and have not heard of any such break. I'll send along your inquiry to our Public Info officer so he can release an assurance. Thanks for checking...

Stay dry!

Becky

I got this back from Becky Safarik the assistant city manager of greeley. i e mailed her. she'd be the one who sounded the alarm if needed. No problems with the h20.

I love being in such a small community that I know much of our city government. Lol

CDPHE requires the public to be notified if health issues are happening with a water and or sewer provider.

Glad the water is still safe!!

Yeah and I'm not sure who notified my sons school but the director her self sent out a message to all parents. I called this morning and was assured no issues exist currntly or had happened at all. But I though better safe than sorry with a baby in the house.
