Female clown trying to kill male?

I have 7 year ocellarus clown pair and the female is being brutal with the male, chasing him and tearing his fins. What is up with that? Divorce? Any marriage counseling things that I can do? Suggestions?

Have they ever bred?

If they have not bred over all this time the female may be ready and the male may not be able to, she may be chasing him off inhopes of finding a better suited partner.

Are they an actuall pair? Just bonded or mated? Could be possible if they are not a mated pair that the male switched sexes and could be a female now.

Yes they used to lay all the time, Gale where are you? I need more help I don't want her to kill him. Maybe ReefCheif is onto something and he (the clown- not ReefCheif) needs viagra?
