Filter worms?

So changed some water and decided to move my trumpet coral because it looked suffocated in the hole it was in and it is covered with this... Are they filter worms or what... Good or bad

Hard to tell from the pic, but it looks like pineapple sponge. Look it up on Google, and see if thats what they are. If so, they tend to come and go with your nutrient levels. Generally harmless

+1 have these buggers all in my overflow and sump and they dont harm a thing. Extra filtration lol

Any place there is a shadow, they are most likely there if you have some in your system lol. They're totally fine.
