Finally got my LEDs

Had been looking for LEDs for a very long time. I didn't want the standard 120w boxes because I don't like the uneven spotlighting look they seem to give off and you can't customize the blue to white color very much. Strip lights are what I wanted but had trouble finding enough power for not a crap load of money. Strip lights for 200ish wats was 800+

Finally found a Chinese vendor that made strips and got six 36 1w strips for 550$ shipped. I got 4 2:1 and 2 1:1 blue white. They came in a few days ago. I now have them set up and on timers. 2 on from 8-8 4 from 10-6 and 4 12-4. Moonlight and sump light 8pm to 8am.

They turned out very high quality. Only expected good quality lol. They stay cool the case is heat sink ribbed aluminum. They made them look very sleek.

I am going to build a rack for them still.

House lights still on lol

Few shots o the tank with diff light combos. Hard to see the diff much. my camera makes it look lots more blue than it is.

And the timers :)

I'll add pics for the rack / mount build. Any one want to get a PAR reading on them for me?

Wow are some cool looking lights... Going to be nice to hear your take on them and how your corals do in the weeks ahead.
