edit: disregard...it's Monday, lol. Was thinking oils not soaps.
I would try to get that out of the tank and run some carbon to be safe. You can get a paper towel (or even better a shop towel) and skim it across the surface to pull that off.
Do you see a lot of micro bubbles floating on the surface of your tank water? I ran low on my top off while i was in Ohio and found the return pump creating a lot of micro bubbles in the display.
so i checked my ato and water lvl everything is fine on that part, so i did the paper towel part, its strange the bubbles started dissapearing soaking into the towel then once i took out the towel they came back its like a mini protein skimmer haha but i will run some carbon just incase im just happy that im only cycling and have no corals yet.my skimmer is finally starting to pick up some proteins and creating some gunk
The pic looks like its your sump, not your overflow. Are you using a durso pipe? Also is the return from the overflow (in the sump) submerged in water or is it splashing against the surface?
disregard if i missed something - as Khalis said its Monday :juggle:
Nah it's where the overflow comes down to the sump that's where I get the bubbles the micro bubbles from the skimmer don't do that I turned the skimmer off and it was still the same deal but it's ok none of it goes to my display
