getting zoas off bare bottom tank

I have acrylic tank and zoas growing on bare bottom. how can I remove them without killing or damaging the tank?

try a plastic paint scraper or scrap acrylic cut at an angle to create a sharp edge

I'm afraid of killing the zoas. plus it's growing up the side now and I might scratch the tank.

the acrylic might be your best bet. you can get a pretty sharp edge that shouldn't scratch the tank

Maybe an old credit card or used gift card? I've removed anemones using one to gently and slowly get under the foot. Plastic on plastic shouldn't hurt the acrylic tank.

Get an edge up with a finger nail and work it from there.
