How do I glue live rock without using cement? I don't really want to drill the rocks either. What is safe to use without leaching into the water? I tried using epoxy putty but it does not work at all. Thanks for any help

Does anyone have bad experiences of lime leaching in the water? Does it cure after a few weeks? Does the lime cause your water parameters to change?

I use the putty stuff from petco but i have only done it when the rocks are dry and out of the tank. Works great and doesnt seem to leech anything when its dried and its been in my tank for over a year.

I gave up on gluing live rock, it only seems to work when it's completely dry. Just gotta learn the art of stacking!

I've used putty on live rock, not a huge fan. If your rock isn't clean (not covered in slime and algae), its not going to work very well, and the rougher the rock, the better. Its best if you can get the rock to lock into itself, and just reinforce the joints.

I used the two part epoxy putty. Just have to add a bit at a time till the rock was held in the position I wanted it to stay.

If its dry, you could use the marco rock stuff that jahmic did the demo with at reefstock. Easier to use then portland cement and looks unnoticeable once its dried.
